2K Games has secured a seasoned producer from the creators of Apex Legends to direct the development team at 31st Union, which is currently working on the forthcoming over-the-shoulder roguelike extraction-shooter known as this innovative game.
Management Shift Follows Mixed Feedback
The new appointee assumes the role of studio head at 31st Union following the dismissal of former leader the ex-Sledgehammer Games executive, who was removed from his post due to the game's disappointing early showing last autumn.
On Wednesday, 2K president David Ismailer notified staff about this decision through an official communication, which stressed that early feedback sessions had indicated the need for a more defined direction.
Ismailer expressed that the developers is now reimagining the project with a revised approach, aiming to satisfy gamer demands.
Trend of Key Recruitment
The news follows a similar step taken by 2K Games in the summer, when they brought on an industry veteran from the Diablo team to contribute to the beloved franchise development group.
