The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.
Ex twice world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary confrontation, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really proceeding.
